The Official Cruise time down 28th Street at 4 p.m. However, it is not unusual to see classic cars cruising along 28th Street all weekend long. Metro Cruise® is different than other car cruises – it is a 17 hour event over 2 days. Collector cars cruise on 28th Street continuously during Metro Cruise® weekend. Any cars left in the lots after the event closes (9pm Friday, 9pm Saturday) will be towed at the owner’s expense. Other lots may also be subject to overnight parking prohibitions, please be sure to ask the property owner. The Metro Cruise is unique in that you can enter and exit 28th at any location you desire, and at any time. 28th Street is 13 miles long and goes through 5 cities, each with different events happening. You can cruise up and down 28th street as normal, the road is not closed or diverted for the event. The MAIN EVENT sites of Metro Cruise are at Rogers Plaza in Wyoming, and Woodland Mall in Kentwood, which have major attractions and the famous Collector Car Row.

To help make your visit to Metro Cruise® Main Event at Rogers Plaza an efficient one, we’ve create a to-scale map of our entire venue. Each PIT STOP site will host a minimum of 4 key features – collector car club(s), food vendor(s), Metro-Merch – our official Metro Cruise merchandise, and unique auto-related entertainment features. Each site will be completely unique in it’s offerings. They will all be open to the public with space for free parking. If you have a collector car and are cruisin’ 28th Street, the sites will also have a reserved (temporary) collector car parking area. This year, the cruise is looking to be bigger than ever with the addition of three "Pit Stop" locations along 28th Street. Each year, the Metro Cruise® produces a high-quality, full color Program. These are distributed before the event at multiple local businesses, at the Main Event at Rogers Plaza, and this digital online version.

The food vendors are grouped into two locations, Metro Square on the west end, Metro Way on the east end. We do now offer 2 Hour Collector Car parking! We are allocating one full row of parking (24 spots) on the east end of the Rogers Plaza Main Event site to any collector car. Woodland Mall will have a 2 hour parking area as well.

The Main Event at Rogers Plaza, located at th Street SW, will be Friday, Aug. 26 from 2 p.m. Submit your photos from wherever you are at Metro Cruise to by Monday, Aug. 28 for a chance to have them included in WKTV Journal’s photo gallery. “The Wyoming Police Department is committed to providing a safe environment during the event for all to enjoy,” said Koeller. By far, the busiest spots of Metro Cruise® are the Main Event sites located at the Rogers Plaza mall parking lot in the city of Wyoming, and Woodland Mall in Kentwood. This Main Event site also features a free shuttle service courtesy of the Rapid. There are more ways than ever to enjoy your favorite auto event. Based on feedback from the community and a desire to reach more people, we invite you to visit one or all of our PIT STOP sites! The 28th Street Metro Cruise® is unlike other car cruises – you may cruise your own car anytime. The West Michigan SAAB Club and Great Lakes Region Volvo Club of America car clubs will be set up at the Cascade Retail Center Pit Stop location with food, entertainment and more. The Miata Owners of West Michigan, Camaros of Michigan and Low Riders car clubs will be set up at the Betten Baker Grandville Pit Stop location with food, entertainment and more.
